The best way to get FIT and stay there is to develop an exercise routine and nutrition game plan that you can stick to and incorporate into your life. You must also include as many healthy activities as possible that you enjoy to burn extra calories. If your workouts and food choices are not sustainable long term you will eventually fail to continue them. THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF YOUR DIET AND EXERCISE ROUTINE IS HOW CONVENIENT IT IS! THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT IS HOW EFFICIENT IT IS. IF YOUR REGIMEN IS BOTH CONVENIENT AND EFFICIENT YOU WILL BE EFFECTIVE IN ACHIEVING AND SUSTAINING YOUR GOALS. Spring break just ended, kids are getting out of school soon, you have been working late, it's wedding season, you just got over a cold, etc...... life happens and it makes it difficult to go to the gym and keep going especially when you are out of routine and your schedule is unpredictable. So you have to have a gym and a diet that is flexible, doable, and maintainable. THE REASON KOKO FITCLUB EXISTS IS TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE TO BE FIT REGARDLESS OF HOW BUSY YOU ARE, WHAT CAREER YOU HAVE, HOW MANY KIDS YOU HAVE, AND WHAT LEVEL OF FITNESS YOU ARE STARTING FROM. The entire concept of the gym is devoted to convenient access to efficient, effective workouts to cater to all ages, all walks of life, and all schedules. OUR MISSION AT KOKO FITCLUB IS TO PROVIDE 24/7 ACCESS TO THE MOST EFFICIENT SUSTAINABLE WORKOUT SO THAT EVERYONE GETS THE INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION THEY NEED TO REACH THEIR GOALS.
The reason why I came to Koko and was so impressed with the concept, technology, and design of the system was the fact that I could truly help anyone. I wanted to find a place that I could make a positive impact on people's lives and create balance between their fitness and their LIFE. Now that we have been open over a year and a half, I have seen people get in amazing shape and phenomenally healthy working out for only 1 hour x 3 days a week! I really didn't believe it myself that you could KEEP your life and be FIT in 3 hours a week. We have members that look and feel amazing simply because they follow their Koko Fuel Plan and do their Koko Prescribed Workouts, and then go about their days living their lives. I'm not writing this blog to convince you to change your life, rather i'm telling you to keep your life and add 3 hours of exercise at Koko. Doing so will improve your life! It just plain works. It's science. It is now a fact that the Koko system does what we say it does, and people that have never worked out before in their lives have maintained doing Koko for over 18 months!!!
ABOUT ME/WHAT I'M UP TO: Lately members and friends have asked me, "Sean, why do you do body weight plyo-metrics, strength calisthenics, and free-weight olympic lifts? Does that replace your Smartraining and your Cardio 2.0? Do you have to do all that just to be in shape and healthy? I don't have time for all that working out!" Let me explain my actions: I perform heavy free-weight exercises to get bigger which is the opposite of 95% of the human population. I do body weight plyo-metrics because I love to golf, play basketball, and enjoy boxing, so those sports require athleticism that I feel can only come from functional movements in which you manipulate your own body weight. Finally, I perform Strength Calisthenics to increase my overall body strength because I like to do so many physical activities. I do not replace any of my Koko workouts ever!
My Koko workouts are how I stay fit and reduce body fat. They are devoted to helping me look and feel better and they are my first priority. Only after I get my Koko workout in do I do those extra-curricular activities. I'm rocking all my medallions, snatching up new color lanyards, and if employees could be on the leader boards I would battle it out with the boys! Fortunately, in my line of work (being at the gym 24/7) I have the luxury of training all the time. But if I had a different career, with several kids, and very limited time to train, I would choose Koko 3 times a week for my 1 hour workout. There are over 600 muscles in the human body, and the Smartrainer hits them all toes to nose in under 30 minutes and I love it! The HIIT Cardio 2.0 our treadmills and ellipticals provide pushes me to work harder and burn more calories than I ever would if left to my own will power. Those that know me understand I hate to do cardio, I don't even like to run errands because that sounds like cardio. Koko is the first gym I have ever worked out in that I like my cardio and can stick to doing them.
When members come to us with similar goals of athleticism, adding muscle mass, or wanting to improve specific body parts, Our Fit Coaches and myself implement those other methods into Plus Member training and our own personal routine. But the base, the foundation of LOOKING and FEELING good is the Koko Smartraining System. It is our members that inspire me to work harder and be better. And that is why we provide all those extra amazing amenities. My fitness journey would not be as fulfilling and incredible if it weren't for our awesome members!
