Trapped: How Lanie Set Herself Free From Her Physical Limitations

A number of health issues can be caused by just simply being overweight. While not everyone is plagued by the many complications that can arise, it is reassuring to know that it is never too late to get healthy again.

Sometimes you just have to say enough is enough, and that is exactly what Lanie did…

 

Before I joined Koko I was over 200 pounds and suffering from a number of health problems.

My doctor recommended that I go on the paleo diet and start working out. I joined Koko FitClub and it has changed my life!

I now weigh 145 pounds. The symptoms of my health problems that have plagued me for so many years are now gone. I am off half of the medications I was on and the rest have been reduced significantly. Eventually I will be able to go off them all as I continue to improve my health with diet and exercise.

It is so wonderful to be able to run and move without struggling for breath. I have been set free from the body I was trapped in for so many years.

When I first started at Koko, I was so weak that I couldn’t lift the weights on the lowest setting of 15 pounds on some of the exercises. My awesome trainer Brian helped me lift them until I was strong enough to lift 15 pounds on my own. My strength has increased 112%. Where there was fat now there is muscle. My body shape has changed drastically. People do a double and triple takes when they see my before pictures. They can’t believe that was really me!

When prospective members come in, I love to share my story and show them my pictures. Koko has changed my life and I hope they will join so Koko can change theirs as well.

Koko FitClub is one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

The fit coaches are amazing. They not only make sure I am doing the exercises properly and help me with my individualized nutrition plan but they keep me motivated. They lift me up when I am discouraged. They inspire me to push myself with Koko challenges and Koko events. They share local race information with me and encourage me to sign up.

The Koko FitCoaches believe in me. I know they truly care about me and my health. They are my support system and help me stay Koko strong.
